Hello MAU, > Have you ever wished you could assign more than one Colour Group to a > message? If so, maybe you'd like to support this old wish: > > https://www.ritlabs.com/bt/view.php?id=6057
I have re-read what I wrote over one year ago in the BT wish and I think it is quite clear. Still, maybe some of you may not understand clearly what I mean, specially if you have not used Watch Folders (Watch Replies in...). The first thing to understand is the difference between Colour (Groups) and Bookmarks. - Colour (Groups) are assigned to messages. It is an attribute of messages and it can only have one value: either None or one of the defined Colour Groups. - Messages are assigned to Bookmarks. A bookmarks is a list of messages and, therefore, messages can be assigned to (and appear in) none, one or many bookmarks. That is why I believe that Bookmarks could be implemented somewhat easily and at a not high cost and announced as "A new feature of version 4!" The idea is to duplicate, clone or reuse the design and code of Watch Folders. With some differences: - Bookmarks are created as sub-folders of a single "Bookmark" Common folder. See attached Bookmarks.png. - The basic and great different to normal Watch Folders is that there is no need to watch for possible replies to bookmarked messages. - To completely differentiate Bookmarks from Watch Folders, a menu separate from the 'Watch Replies in.." should be created. Something like in attached 'Bookmarks Menu.png'. - Finally, something I've thought about today. It would be ideal if there was a filter action to bookmark messages -- Best regards, Miguel A.
