I installed FileAudit. It can log file access in folders. I found out the following: when I shutdown Voyager, there is a huge (sometimes 90 sec) delay between finished(?) writing addrbook.eni and reading/writing global.ini (after I used Voyager for a day, on a laptop, ca. 5 times sent the laptop to sleep.)
Also, I found that if you have virtual folders, there is a delay between writing addrbook.eni and those msgs.dump files... Same goes for TB: there is a delay between writing the addrbook.ini and e.g. groups.cfg. So, it seems, that saving data to addrbook files delay the shutdown of Voyager/TB. That is the reason sometimes we have to wait HUGE amount of times for TB to shutdown. It is reproducible. It is a reason, that me and many other users kick off TB/Voyager. Once, after like 5 days use of Voyager, I took a quick shower, Voyager still did not shut down. It took ca. 10 min to shut it down. So, I am seeking for support to push Ritlabs to find out the cause of this error, or give us an alpha version, that has -temporary- extensive logging when saving the addrbook.ini/eni files, so we can track down the error. PS: I sent it to Stefan directly, in CC. -- Vili The Bat 3.99.6 on Windows XP 5.1 2600 Szervizcsomag 2 ________________________________________________________ Current beta is 4.0.0.12 | 'Using TBBETA' information: http://www.silverstones.com/thebat/TBUDLInfo.html
