Then you need to check whether AVM passes the auth parameters to the
server correctly.

Try to send without AVM for the moment, let TB! connect directly to
the server. If there is no problem any more, it is not TB!'s fault.

Yes, but in this case you want to look further than TB!. I would
suggest something like ethereal to pinpoint the problem.
