never even knew it. The closest to anything about German dialects and
changes I knew, was that my paternal grandmother was always
disdainful of the German that my mother's Mennonite forebearers spoke.

Well if they revise the language every ten years, the publishing
industry must love it. New dictionaries for everyone, new Bibles,
Korans, I Chings, Encyclopedias. What a gold mine.
