I can confirm this. And I find it a bit bewildering when I get lost
somewhere in empty space to the right of the paragraph.

I must respectfully disagree. Thus far, I have sen no advantage to
this bug. Like I said, the initial effect for me tends to be one of
displacement: "Hey, I was reformatting a paragraph, and now I cannot
even see the paragraph."
