The reason I am using OTFE is because I'm also using TB! on my notebook. I tought it might be better to encrypt the mail database instead of encrypting the whole hard drive because of performance and other reasons. My new notebook now offers hardware encryption so OTFE might be outdate for me but I really can understand the argument Thomas brought up. OTFE is very useful for many people.
