If you reply to an html message using the html editor and try to select the entire text (your reply and the original quoted message) and apply a certain font character or a certain size to the entire text it will not work.
Example: I use calibri font 12 to write and I am replying to a message written in Times 14. At the end of the message I decide I want the entire text (quoted parts and not quoted parts to be in calibri 13.
