The blue line is problematic though. Not because of how it looks (that has been discussed before), but because it can be rather annoying when trying to add a line (of reply) in between quoted text.

Try to just put some blanc lines there with "Return" key while the cursor is at the end of the line containing some text.
It worked out for me.

The sig mark does not perform while in HTML mode. Replying from within the text part performs well.
