Based on someone else's note, I didn't have the installer start TB but finished the install first. Then I launched TB from my quick launch toolbar. Nothing happened! Nada. I then used windows explorer to look for TheBat.exe in the main TB directory - it wasn't there! So I then extracted the .rar file for TB 4.0.28.4 - and it works fine now! I assume the professional installer detected that the old installation was the Home edition, so it didn't extract TheBat.exe in the new installation. I have no idea. Anyway, the above is what happened.
