Strange thing: since 4.0.31 I get this emtpy connection manager window, where the window below "shines through" (actually the pixels get stuck, i.e. when I move the CM-Window, the "screenshot" inside moves along. So whats missing is the list of sent/received mails. I already removed the registry key "connection manager" to reset the position, no change.
