you're right, it is a good idea to give this kind of functionality 
also to the message tabs. And I have got another sugestion: Could it 
be made possible, that the message tabs automatically change (On / 
Off) depending on the folder that is displayed at the moment?

Example: I receive messages from a colleague, Peter, who sends me - among many 
other stuff - mails that contain anouncements about upcoming events. I 
created a View Mode that is combined with a filter and that View Mode 
is connected to a message tab, "Peters announcements". As you can imagine, that 
tab only makes 
sense when the folder where Peters meesages are stored, is opened.

My idea is, that the tab "Peters announcements" appears when I open 
Peters folder and disappears again when I open another one.

Do you see a possibility to add such a function to the message tabs?
