Hi Everyone,

Several times a day, I get a message body retrieval error from TB (all
versions I have been testing for months). This pertains to the Inbox
for my Gmail. The error message says (approximately) when I click on
the new message in the message list: "Message body cannot be retrieved due
to processing error."

I sometimes can correct it by clicking on another mail account (pop)
and then clicking back on the Gmail IMAP account, then the inbox.
Sometimes, however, I must restart TB to retrieve the message body.

I should add that I have a DSL connection and, per Stefan's
suggestion, do NOT select "synchronization" in the various folders.
The message bodies typically are retrieved when I click on the new
message(s) in the Inbox.

By contrast, I never get this message body retrieval error when I
access that same account using Thunderbird or, for my wife's Gmail
account on her laptop, Opera. I only use Thunderbird as
an IMAP test application - TB is my primary email application.

I typically use the "default" IMAP settings in TB for a high speed
connection, FYI.

Any other suggestions for IMAP settings to check?
