Hello Jens,

> That's overkill!

An overkill? What is an overkill?

Colour Groups is a functionality TB has always had and I was just
illustrating some of the different ways to see the CG of a message,
whether you want to see the CG name or the actual colour (if any has
been defined).

> But please, such amount of changes, which affekt other areas for the
> simple Trick to see the Color Group in Detailed Message view?

The changes I made were because in a previous message you had said:

,----- [ ]
| With the Bar on the selected Message, which is normally invers, the
| Color is not visible very good.
`-----

And I wanted to point out that, even then, it is possible to see the
colour (of background, if you have one defined).

Now, the ways I suggest are no workaround. They are possible, and have
always been possible, whether your read messages in Preview or Folder
View, as long as you view (display) at least one line of the Message
List.

But, from what you say and request, I gather you read your messages in
Folder View without displaying Message List and, anyway, you want to see
the CG of the message, correct? And that is why you come up with this
new feature request, right? Precisely:

,----- [ ]
| Could there please be a optional Bar with configurable size between
| Headers and Viewer Section in an opened E-Mail which shows up the
| Message of the Color Group the message is in - this should not be very
| difficult, i guess?
`-----

More options to configure (optional bar, with configurable size)?

"between Headers and Viewer Section". Shouldn't this be optional also?
Some users may may like it somewhere else. Maybe in a status bar at the
bottom?

"which shows up the the Color Group of the message". The colour (i.e
graphic), the CG name or both? If the colour, which of the different
colours you can define for a CG? The background colour or the colour of
the text? What if a CG has no colour defined, just a different font
style (bold, italics, etc.)? And for which of the settings: Normal,
Unread, Selected, Selected Unread, ...?

In your OP you also said: "this should not be very difficult, I guess?"
Still think the same?

See where I'm trying to get at? If you view (display) the Message List
(at least one line of it) you have it all there. Only if you want to see
the *name* of the CG you have to add that column to your view mode. Is
this a 'workaround' and an 'overkill' that requires 'so many changes'?

But, Hey! Be my guest! Adding an item to the Wish List doesn't hurt
anyone. :-)
