Dear Maxim, @21-Aug-2009, 18:01 +0300 (21-Aug 16:01 here) Maxim Masiutin [MM] in mid:[email protected] said to TBBETA:
>>>Current beta is 4.2.10.4 | 'Using TBBETA' information: >>>http://www.silverstones.com/thebat/TBUDLInfo.html MM> I would like to increase the beta number when I post beta MM> announcements, to modify my script that prepares the announcement MM> message, to also increase the number. This is to save the MM> moderators from ridiculous job of updating the number. The number of times I have sat and tried to think of a way to automate that task! The problem is that the footer is a piece of config text in the MailMan data set on a server in Germany that host the lists. Johanes Posel has some measure of control but, as it stands, I have to manually go to the admin page for the list and update the digest and non-digest footers by hand whenever I see the new release announcement. Because I was offline for a week (living in a field and getting married), I missed a few. Did I miss a 4.2.0 MSI mainstream release too? If you have any suggestions as to how to automate the version number update, perhaps you, me and Johannes can discuss it off-list? -- Cheers -- //.arck D Pearlstone -- List moderator and fellow end user TB! v4.2.10.4 on Windows Vista 6.0.6001 Service Pack 1 '
