Dear Maxim,

The number of times I have sat and tried to think of a way to automate
that task!

The problem is that the footer is a piece of config text in the
MailMan data set on a server in Germany that host the lists. Johanes
Posel has some measure of control but, as it stands, I have to
manually go to the admin page for the list and update the digest and
non-digest footers by hand whenever I see the new release
announcement.

Because I was offline for a week (living in a field and getting
married), I missed a few. Did I miss a 4.2.0 MSI mainstream release
too?

If you have any suggestions as to how to automate the version number
update, perhaps you, me and Johannes can discuss it off-list?
