All macros that take "arguments" or "parameters" like %SETPATTREGEXP=
or %SUBJECT= will want their argument strings "delimited" either by
'single' or "double" quotes. If these macros start getting nested (one
inside the other) then the quotes must 'alternate'. i.e.
%MAC1="%mac2='answer'"
If you have to nest any deeper than that then "doubling up" techniques
must be used:
%MAC1="%mac2='answer%mac3=""answer3""'"
(have your eyes crossed yet? <g>).

Ah - the '?' means "zero or one matches only" and it only needs to be
used when that's what it means ... that the pattern may or may not be
there, but if it is, it will only be there once.
