Have you tried the O'Reilly book Learning Perl? It's very good. There
are a lot a lot of other good perl books. In general there are no good
free texts for any programming language on the internet.

Those were not really VB's fault, they were just due to the default
insecure set up of some mailers. If Windows Scripting Host used Perl
it could just of easily been the iloveyou.pl worm.
