There have neevr been any Linux native apps writen in Delphi before
Kylix was released. They may have been written if OO Pascal but not
Delphi as we know it. There was no Linux delphi compiler until
recently.

Delphi (object pascal) is a wonderful language and now that Kylix has
been released I can write apps for Linux and windows. I get good fast
reliable OO code. C might be fast but it allow for too many errors.
Procedural Pascal is not great for development though. But we have
Perl for that sort of thing.

There's huge differences between Delphi 2 and 5. Better object
orientation. new commands more components..etc. It's like comparing
Emacs Lisp to Common Lisp.
I think we'd better take any further threads off to *groups though.
