Trying to move this discussion from TBBETA, I will try to summarize
and I think I will cut and paste some and fill in what has already
gone on.

In the context of another problem under discussion at TBBETA I wrote:

I'd like to but I'm not quite sure how to proceed. This is a laptop,
and uses roadrunner at home and dsl at the office. On the road, I
have multiple isp's because small towns nearby have local dialups on
one, and metro areas throughout the country have local dialups on
another. With Eudora at the office, I have been able to use
authentication and send from roadrunner, which is the account most of
my mailing lists now require, but I haven't ever been able to get TB!
to do that.

I'm not sure I understand what you are suggesting when you say setup
the SMTP server, and perhaps I don't understand what the %from macro
would do, but if there is some way to use the macro to get around
these barriers, please amplify.

The suggestion I received which seemed hopeful was to use
"options|change account" with my reply messages, resulting in the
following:

When I change the active account, it sends ok via my current
ISP (swbell at the office), but!!! the list bounces it because I am
enrolled at kscable (roadrunner at home).

is what I got back in my swbell.net inbox.

When I was using Eudora, I was able to use authentication to post via
kscable from swbell, but my tinkering with TB! authentication has not
produced the same result. I am looking for a way to avoid dragging
messages from one outbox to another to have them go out in a form that
I will be recognized as a list subscriber.

I hope this makes sense without going on too long.
