Hello,
New on this ML, I have the following problem to solve.
Using Hamster, Xnews, and the Bat, i would like to use the nice editor of
the bat to correct messages between Xnews and Hamster.(Hamster is a local
news and mail server ). So, i have written a script in Hamster with a little
VBS to do that. As a test, i use it dealing with Winword.
Works perfect: sending the post from Xnews open winword with the text
inside, and a message box. Ok on the message box, and the message is
corrected in Hamster. All that is done across clipboard, but i can use
text-files as well.
My question is: How to do the same with the editor of The Bat!.
I don't know enough about MAPI, or DDE to do that. I have tried "mailu", but
the message goes directly in Outbox of "the Bat!, without opening editor. I
have tried "Mailto:";, but it seem limited to 128 chars.
To give more precisions, my script does the followings: As soon a news's
post is received in Hamster, the text part of it is copied in clipboard,
then, Hamster execute the VBS witch open Winword, and paste the text inside
with a msg box. After edition (spelling, and so), ok on the msgbox goes:
select the whole text, copy in clipboard, close WinWord, exit VBS. Then
Hamster replace the text of the original message with the corrected one from
clipboard.
Did someone have an idea ? I am Working blind on that for hours.
