It  does  extract the id exactly as I want to. How do I then put this in the 'To'
field of the forwarded mail template ? I tried

%TO=""%TO=mailinglist-subscribe-%SUBPATT="1"=%SUBPATT="2"@mywebsite.com

But does not work.

Dirk  -  I  tried  your  macro too but the output was like what is given below. The 
entire
e-mail id is not there.

[EMAIL PROTECTED]

Also  as input can this be made simpler if the id can be taken from the 'From' field 
?? As
the  e-mail I get is sent by the server with the intended subscriber e-mail id in the 
from
field.
