I use the following as an intro line in a response template:

evolves into:

following in regards to ='[tinyfirewall] Re: TPF v2.0.15 -
100% newbie question':
There's an extraneous '='
The bracketed material remains
The word 'Re:' remains
I'd like the results to look like the following:
At 1:59 PM on Monday, October 22, 2001 you wrote the
following on the subject: 'TPF v2.0.15 - 100% newbie
question':
I have a feeling that some of my quote marks are out of
place but I can't figure it out. Any help would be
appreciated.
