Greetings Propeller Bats!

(Hey Marck, empty page here:
<http://www.silverstones.com/thebat/templates.html> :-))

Can someone please refresh my memory as to how one displays the
correct greeting (name) for a user that is in your address book as a
personal entry, but is also on a list for which you have an AB entry?

OK, that was confusing..

Here is a better example, hopefully..

I have this friend Stan. He's in my address book with his first name
listed as Stan. However, he's on another list and he insists on
putting Flotcho as his first name. He signs his mail with "Stan."

So, I know him as Stan, and I know he doesn't care if I address him as
Stan.

I have a reply template for the list we are on, which is here:

Hi %OFromFName,
%To=""%To='"Foo Bar International" <[EMAIL PROTECTED]>'%SingleRe%QuoteStyle="I"
%Wrapped="@ %OTimeLongEn on %ODateShort, %OFromName wrote:"
%Cursor%Wrapped='%QInclude="quotes"'
- -Brian

I have him in my address book as well, with Stan as his first name,
and his address is the same that he uses to send mail to the list.

When I reply to him on-list, I get something like:

 ---->8----

 Hi Flotcho,

 @ 10:19:32 PM on 10/12/2001, Flotcho wrote:

 ----8<----

When I want:

 ---->8----

 Hi Stan,

 @ 10:19:32 PM on 10/12/2001, Stan wrote:

 ----8<----

I tried something like:

 Hi %OFromFName='%ABOFromFirstName',

But of course that's not right. It's spitting back:

 Hi Flotcho='Stan',

I thought something like this was in the FAQ, but I can't find it.

Help. :-))
