Ideally, I would not only use The Bat! for my personal, POP3, email
accounts, but also for corporate IMAP account (leaving bulky Outlook,
hurrah!)

I realize The Bat! supports IMAP in principle and appears to support
NTLM authentication against a Microsoft Exchange server, however, I fail
to provide the correct logon credentials.

Let me explain the server-side setup:

The mailbox account on the server uses the full user's name (first name,
followed by a single space character, followed by the last name). The NT
domain user account uses the first (given) name alone, with the NT
domain name being two words, separated by an underscore.

Example:

Mailbox name: Maria Callas
NT domain MY_DOMAIN
NT User Maria

In The Bat!, I set up a new mail account and provide the logon
credentials to the best of my knowledge, but I fail to log on. The Bat!
correctly prompts for the NTLM authentication details, but repeats
prompting for those. This is, presumably, because the server rejects the
logon attempt.

Normally, I would expect the NTLM user name to be "MY_DOMAIN\Maria", but
where do I provide the mailbox name?

I try a few variations for the NTLM user name, such as "Maria
Callas@MY_DOMAIN\Maria", but all without success.

I wonder if anybody can advise.

TIA
Bernd
