Hello Peter,

I hope, it is NOT offtopic here ?!

Maybe, but I used it at home, at dialup-connection... And spent
two-weeks limit in 4 days (it was last days on June, can't recall -
which beta was used)

Well, it seems, what SpamPal was updated after my tests...

PP> So could you elaborate what your problem with SpamPal was?
Speed and quality

Dialup-line - 26400
ISP channel - 2M
ISP DNS response time - 300-400 msec
DNS timeout in SpamPal - 30 seconds

Zones

socks.osirusoft
formmail.monkeys
socks.monkey
http.monkey
ORDB

Tested ~130 messages

50+ - Pass Time-Out
70+ - Pass

It terms of SPEED! I can't see speed degradation with Catcher, even
with zones set near same as in Pal (excluded formmail, added zone at
my home-dns)

PP> But the most significant difference: SpamPal _is_ free of charge, while
PP> POP3Catcher is free only in a functional limited version ...
It's small limitations, and these limitation doesn't decrease _main_
functionality
----->8-------------------------------------- from WinClipboard
Difference Lite-version from Full-version:
------------------------------------------
- internal server process requests only from local computer;
- impossible to delete internal headers which added by POP3 Catcher;
- number of alternatives in one filter limited for 3 against 10 in
  Full-version;
- message preview is absent. Also absent possibility for message deletion
  from box and marking for deletion message awaiting on server;
- dial-up dialer and connection scheduler is absent;
- system selective download filter for messages with IP from blacklist is
  absent;

----->8--------------------------------------------------------
PP> So convince me :-):

PP> Why am I going to prefer POP3Catcher over SpamPal? :-)))
For me - usabilty and assessed cost of the service
