The filename passed to an external program by a filter is this the same
message TB will use after the program finishes executing?
I'm wondering if modifying the file will cause TB to use the
modifications or not. If this would work I could make an external
application modify the headers to make the rest of the filters handle
things differently.
Possible uses:
1 Keeping an external kill file with subjects or from addresses to
delete mails. That way I could have a manual filter to add such data
to a database of sorts to remove threads I have no interest it.
2 The opposite of the former. Highlight specific threads without
making new filters all the time.
3 Keeping track of message-ids and in-reference-to headers and append
such information to missing message. Would be very useful to me for
mailing lists were people user silly mail clients that don't include
such information.
Even better would be a proper plug-in architecture or that TB handled
these issues themselves.
