I'm afraid not. You can only set the taskbar to be always on top or
disable this.
Like Marck, I use a small font with the ticker unzoomed, undocked
and narrowed down as much as possible. I keep it in the right lower
corner of the screen.
It's quite unobtrusive there since I rarely run an application in
full-screen.
