well funny you should mention it, but this is the only way I can
launch a URL from a message on TB..i.e. copy the URL to the
clipboard (yankee clipper plus) then feed it into the DEFAULT
browser i.e Opera 6.5

I hear this answer in the past and I'm sure it does happen just not
for me.

Well yes, but in my version of TB only .MSG .EML and .VCF and
'mailto' is available for association, not .HTM.

Well no it doesn't on my system..If I do as you've described, I get
a error message (sent to bug complaints twice) and the application
'locks' the cursor into a continuos rotating 'hourglass' although it
still functions as a regular cursor..this process is quite
repeatable.

Well I use Opera 6.5 as the 'default' browser..it has this feature
built into the preferences as you know. I also don't have MSIE on
the system.

OK..this I haven't tried..so thanks possibly in advance of clearing
up the problem.

hummm..interesting..can you explain the difference a bit more that
is between default as in default browser, and 'Open'. but if you go
into as it were "Open with" and associate .HTM with TB, doesn't that
rather mess up one's browser use?

Thanks,

C.K.
