Re: urls not launching I once had this problem with one of my Win95 machines. We had two identical machines, one would launch urls properly and the other wouldn't. I checked all the bat registry entries and they were identical - even went so far as to export the registry keys from the good machine and import them into the bad one. Didn't do a bit of good. It was driving me crazy.
Finally reinstalled the browser and all was fine. Never did figure out what caused the problem. Two things became clear from this, though: first of all, it wasn't an issue with The Bat at all, in spite of the fact that the symptoms only showed up from email messages; secondly, there's some browser registry entry *somewhere* that controls this and every once in a while it just gets munged.
