It's okay, you did respond to me at the time, but were "seduced" by
talk of Colour Groups.

This is pretty much what Alexander Leschinsky was saying too. In
fact, it is *Windows OS* that selects an alternative, not TB. If you
change the default font in the message list to a more comprehensive
font, Windows may be able to find a closer match for the high-bit
characters in the header without resorting to one that looks "bold".
