no, not that i've noticed

yes.

for my one friend i frequently write to, the filter never works. here
is his email address: [EMAIL PROTECTED]

(i wasn't really reading that recent thread on web archiving of the
emails. i think i saw that email addresses do not get shown
publically, but in case i'm mistaken, i've just munged it now by 'bat'
at the start.)

and the Outgoing filter string (location:kludges; presence:yes)
^To\:[EMAIL PROTECTED]@[EMAIL PROTECTED]

yet for this address, [EMAIL PROTECTED] , it always filters
perfectly.

with the Outgoing filter string (location:kludges; presence:yes)
^To\:[EMAIL PROTECTED]@[EMAIL PROTECTED]

ditto for [EMAIL PROTECTED]

with the Outgoing filter string (location:kludges; presence:yes)
^To\:[EMAIL PROTECTED]@[EMAIL PROTECTED]

it works perfectly everytime too

no, nothing, the bat logs directly into server

> Can you post examples of ones that work and ones that fail?

have done so above.

i think it must be some weird bug in the Bat, eh?

but then, maybe its something simple and obvious that i'm overlooking.
i wouldn't be surprised by that at all ;-)

or maybe something subtle? Agent has/had a thing that stung me, where
if you accidentally added a trailing space behind your server id, in
setup, then you could never connect.

i'll try moving 'badbobst' rule higher up the list of filters, from
the bottom to near the top, and see if that makes a difference

sorry for taking so long to reply, thanks for reading
