I understand the CRL's. However, what I observe is that this email program searches for the *updates* to the revocation list. For example, I have been away from the computer for an hour now. I initiate my dial-up connection. When it's going, I started The Bat! and immediately, while the blue-logo-bat is on the screen, there is the outbound connection to verisign. No other program, such as browsers, was running. I shall have to look through the various settings and see if there is something to do with PGP or whatever. I have only recently upgraded to this new (for me) version. And I never observed this phenomenon with the previous versions I ran here at home. -- Robert D. www.denstarfarm.us _________________________ The Bat!
