I have been testing *Why* I can not download email from my GMX.net account, for two days now. All I see with packet-sniffer are (3) SYN from me and (3) RST, ACK from pop.gmx.net.
Anyway, TB! only tries 3 times then hangs there for nearly 6 minutes. That is, the Connection-Centre remains open that long before a system-beep and a log entry of _Fetch Connect Failed_ . I can not find a TB! setting whereby I can limit the length of time TB! waits before it decides it will never get through. FWIW, I have that setting in Properties for timeout, set to 0 then 10, then 20, and so on, and it makes no difference whatsoever that I can see. -- Thanks for the help ...
