I have this with Gmail often, and it is annoying.

For me, I have a dynamic IP adress at home but Gmail only blocks me
out when I am travelling abroad. Somehow they figured that I travel to
Cambodia often, so they don't log me out there. But when I went to
Spain (Canary Islands), that was too much for them.
