Hello MFPA,

I know, but I mean a POP account at_the_server. Which is a completely
different set up and functionality that IMAP accounts.

Gmail is the other way around. It is IMAP which allows POP/SMTP. Webmail
does not define the type of server (and service), it just a way of
accessing it, an e-mail client. You can access IMAP, as IMAP, with TB and
many other clients too.

I must admit that is a bit peculiar, yes. But, on the other hand, I
guess they assume that if you sent the message you will already have a
copy of it.
