Hi
I am resending this e-mail because I forgot to add an important point. See,
below.
Starting, yesterday, Google turned on two-step verification for one of my 16
gmail accounts. Thus, when I attempt to use The Bat to download mail from
that gmail account, nothing downloads. The log file shows that an
application-specific password is required and directs me to this webpage:
https://support.google.com/accounts/answer/185833#zippy=%2Cyou-still-cant-sign-in
However, the instructions there direct me to access the "app passwords" feature
and generate a password to use with the app. So, I selected "mail"and
generated the password. However, where do I enter this information in The Bat
so that TB can freely access the gmail account.
Any ideas as to what I need to do other than to turn off two-factor
identification?
I have no difficulty accessing this account with my cell phone.
It is important to note that, of course, I already have a regular password for
the gmail account, which is entered in the appropriate box in account
properties:
(Account - properties - transport - receive mail.)
But, where is the "app password" supposed to be entered?
