Hi there,

I sent a mail about that subject a while ago... when The Bat! is
running, maybe in the background, I noticed some disk access
occuring all the time. Now I investigated (a little) further by
using filemon and found out that The Bat! tries exactly every ten
seconds to open some file called thebat.IPC in the directory where
it is installed. Seems like some named pipe to me... Of course it
doesn't exist... what should that thing be for??? Could that cause
the continuous disk access? (Of course it could, but could someone
  stop it somehow? ;)

Get filemon from www.sysinternals.com and see for yourselves.

Thanks!
