At Thursday, October 14, 1999, 7:00:59 PM, Marck mashed together those heresies:
>>> Message-ID: <[EMAIL PROTECTED]>
MDP> Here's Oleg's message ID
>>> In-reply-To: <[EMAIL PROTECTED]>
>>> References: <[EMAIL PROTECTED]>
MDP> It seems that he is replying to a message generated within his own
MDP> server. That means that the server at Oleg's end is mangling the message
MDP> ID headers before they reach him.
Nope! That's the message Oleg was replying to. References, in fact,
should contain a loooong list of ALL the previous replies' IDs!
When you reply to a mail, the References from this mail are copied
into the reply and the original mail's ID is added to the References.
So, the newly-created Reply has in the References field the ID of the
mail we're replying to, along with all the IDs the original was in
reply to, and so on...
Anyway, that's what it SHOULD look like! Apparently, The Bat! REPLACES
the References with the In-reply-To field, instead of ADDING the
message ID to the References, preserving all the previously referred
message IDs.
RIT-lab'ers, could you please fix it?? It's a BUG!!
