in HTML,
tag is used to display text in a monospaced font,
mantaining white spaces and line breaks. Whitout
tag, html says
that the extra spacing and line breaks (that aren`t defined using
or
tags) are to be removed.
is useful for ascii-art, i.e.,
or displaying poems with indents or complex layout.
This command give you the capability to specify which font is used for
display text inclused in

tag in html messages. hth!
