Hello dear The Bat! users,
(Using The Bat! 1.36 under Windows 98 4.10 Build 1998 )
I would like to see a solution to the following
problem:
In German the first line of a business letter to
a woman named 'Lattke' reads like:
Sehr geehrte Frau Lattke,
while written to a man named 'Lattke' it looks like:
Sehr geehrter Herr Lattke,
Please note, that there is a slight difference:
Once it is (geehrte) and once it is (geehrter)
which depends on the gender of the person.
To customize for this I suggest macros of
the form
%TO-FEMALE1
%TO-FEMALE2
%TO-FEMALE3
%TO-MALE1
%TO-MALE2
%TO-MALE3
while in the Options Menu you can choose what
strings to put in case of male or female persons.
(I used numbers 1 to 3, so one is not limited to
a single string for males or females)
Regards,
