On 19 October 1999 at 15:25, [EMAIL PROTECTED] told the list:

t>>> I wouldnt mind having more options including those if someting is
t>>> true and something else isnt.

Marck>> This you have. That is what "Presence Yes/No" is about.
Marck>> Filters work as "AND" whatever is within a single filter "OR"
Marck>> whatever is in the "Alternatives" tab on the filter dialog
Marck>> box. They can get very complex indeed.

t> you mean alternatives are inserted exactly like in the help file:
t> String: [John Smith], Location: [Sender], Presence: [Yes]
t> etc???

Like:

String: [thebat.dutaint] Location: [Kludges] Presence: [Yes]
String: [TBUDL] Location: [Recipient] Presence: [No]
String: [TBBETA] Location: [Recipient] Presence: [No]

(message is from thebat.dutaint.com, but not from TBUDL or TBBETA) to
filter out bounce messages from this list as distinct from traffic.

Or in another instance:

String: [[EMAIL PROTECTED]] Location: [Kludges] Presence: [Yes]

 Alt..

String: [Project X] Location: [Subject] Presence: [Yes]

 Alt..

String: [[EMAIL PROTECTED]] Location: [Kludges] Presence: [Yes]

... from "David" OR about the project OR from a specific beta tester.

Cheers,
Marck
