Check your account transport properties, and make sure that the SMTP server
name, and your account name and password are entered properly.
In the transport properties, click on the "More" button beside the SMTP server
name, and make sure the "Perform SMTP Authenication properties" box is
unchecked. (Is "authenication a word? Oh, well...)
To make sure that you have a valid SMTP server name entered, you can try to
telnet to that server. Go to the Start > Run button in Win95 or NT, and type
"telnet <smtp server name> 25". You should get a "ready" response back from the
SMTP server.
