I guess someone had to reply to you. :)
Sorry, I can't confirm this one. I only get any tooltip in the
messages list when multiple messages are selected, and never in the
folder list. I've known tooltips to do some strange things in the
past though. Especially if you're using a Mac (heaven forbid, but I
have to use one at work *shudder*) tooltips are a screwy thing.
Has anyone else experienced what Paula describes?
