On a couple of consecutive occasions the columns were gone - I
couldn't scroll to them.
However, before making another comment on this or another problem I am
going to reboot first, particularly when it's been a day or two since
doing that. TB is definitely among the first of the applications I run
to be affected by low system resources and this seems to be involved,
since I rebooted a bit ago and don't see it happening now either.
