:-) Your case is not Mdaemon problem, but DNSServer problem for UUCP.
I was updating the DNSServer from NT DNS (BIND 4.9.7 compatible) to
BIND DNS 8.1.2; now we back for a while to NT DNS before upgrade the
BIND to 8.2.2 patch 5 when the time permit (oops, we now use BIND
8.2.2 but for "nix platform instead of NT).
