Here's part of the answer from TB's home page:
"All customers, registering The Bat! at the discounted price from this
offer offer will also be given a discount on The Bat! v2.0, plus free
upgrades for all versions of The Bat! v1.xxx."
I would guess that there would not be many people who will be paying for
1.x now that they have been altered to an impending major upgrade for
which they will have to pay more money, unless the difference between
the discounted price for the current version and the additional cost for
the new version equals the full price of the new version.
