IMHO The optimum threading order is achieved by using "Thread by
Reference" and "Sort by Creation Date" (Descending), but only when all
messages in the thread are submitted from compliant clients.
TB's threading compliance is not actually completely correct, but will
suffice for simple threading purposes. More complex situations (like
deleting some messages from the thread but retaining threading
coherence) can't be done.
