Some of them do, AFAIK. But I can be specific only in the case of Pegasus.
It supports *sorting* on Subject AND Date (at once), which gives threading-
like results. That is, the messages first get sorted by Subject, then each group
of them having the same subject gets sorted by date.

That's it. TB's threading works well on TBUDL and TBBETA, but it fails on
other mailing lists I'm subscribed to. OTOH, what Pegasus does works not
*very* well, but at least gives equal results everywhere:-)
