Hello, Bat users, As you know, The Bat! lets us define sounds individually for each folder. That way, even if you don't use the Mail Ticker, you can still be informed of mail arriving for certain folders and know where the mail is coming from. Here's a way to make those sounds meaningful. Download a free program called SayIt from: http://analogx.com . Type in short phrases like "Bat List", and the program will create a .wav file that utters this phrase in a robot-like voice. Then associate that sound with the Bat list folder. Do the same for other folders. Of course you could also use a mike to record sounds, but the SayIt renderings are much smaller .wav files for less overhead, and are kind of cool in themselves. I've been using this feature with EdMax, but with The Bat! it's much easier to assign sounds to folders (with EdMax the sounds are assigned with the incoming filters). -- Yours, John De Hoog, Tokyo http://wonmug.com -- -------------------------------------------------------------- View the TBUDL archive at http://tbudl.thebat.dutaint.com To send a message to the list moderation team double click here: <mailto:[EMAIL PROTECTED]> To Unsubscribe from TBUDL, double click here and send the message: <mailto:[EMAIL PROTECTED]> --------------------------------------------------------------
