With a decent newsreader that would be no problem since you
may read only the threads that interest you whether through thread
watching or scoring. You may also download only those messages that
interest you. OTOH, with mailing lists you get the whole jebanks
without your control except for some killfilters. Two sides to the
coin really. :)
