Agreed, the simpler things the better they tend to run.
One of the reasons most of my mainframe programs were modular  and
running in sequence so that in case of problems they could recover at
any stage (Important when programs could run days....)

The problem isnt liking/disliking zipmagic, its other programs not
working with it.
I kick any program causing undesirable effects off my system, this was
one of them.
AVP was another one. Using DrWEB I havent seen any nasty side effects.
GETRIGHT had side effects, reget didnt...
And there is a long list like that.
I donot want software which is a timebomb in regards to systems or
other software as you havent got any ideas what future wanted product
will set it off.
